Personal daily support

Attentive help with activities of daily living, including showering, oral hygiene, dressing, hair care and nail care. Daily housekeeping, weekly laundry, medication management and prescription refills are handled with care.

Meals & meaningful days

Three nutritious, home-cooked meals each day plus healthy snacks. A daily schedule of exercise and activities—including bingo, karaoke, color stacking, and arts and crafts—keeps each day engaging.

Coordinated health services

Our house physician visits monthly and is available around the clock for urgent needs. Blood work, chest X-rays and ultrasounds can be arranged in the home, along with visiting specialists and home health services.

CARE THAT COMES TO YOU

Trusted support, thoughtfully coordinated.

Scheduled visiting care: podiatry, mobile dentistry, cardiology approximately every two months, and optometry approximately every five months.
Additional specialists: general dentistry and dermatology are coordinated as needed.
Home health support: physical therapy, occupational therapy, and nursing care can be arranged for residents who need it.

Our dedication to senior care began in 2005. As a licensed assisted living home for five residents, we offer the familiarity of a real home and the attentive support of a close-knit care team.

We are grateful for the trust families have placed in us. Our two longest-standing residents have called Rivendell home for nearly nine and eight years—a privilege we deeply value. Over the years, we have been fortunate to care for a diverse group of people, including doctors, homemakers, educators, engineers, pilots and artists. Each resident brings a unique life story that enriches our Rivendell family.

A familiar, experienced team

Our long-serving caregivers have been with Rivendell for approximately 20, 13 and 10 years, bringing continuity, familiarity and confidence to everyday care.

Attentive staffing

We typically have three caregivers during the day, with a minimum of two, including the owner. One dedicated caregiver is always present overnight.

Care beyond our doors

We arrange transportation to specialist appointments and, when needed, the owner personally accompanies residents and their families.

SECURITY AND PEACE OF MIND

Support around the clock.

Licensed caregivers and staff are on duty 24 hours a day. Every bedroom has resident-safety alarms—including motion sensors, pressure pads, and clip-on or magnetic alarms as appropriate—to support residents who may be unable to call for help or who are at risk of falling. The home also has monitored security, cameras, and a sprinkler system throughout.
